Jamie Baxter is a Professor in the Department of
Geography and Environment at the University of Western Ontario and he is the principal
investigator for the SSHRC grant that partially funds this partnership. He has been involved in studying
community-based social construction of risk, and facility siting issues
for over two decades.

Carelle Mang-Benza is a PhD candidate in Geography and Environment at the University of Western Ontario. She is focusing on the Indigenous case study in the M'Chigeeng community, with some media and policy analysis that aligns with studies(study 7 and study 4 respectively). Carelle joins the team with a B.A.Sc. and M.Sc. in chemical engineering and has been involved in a number of intergovernmental processes related to environmental policy, population and migration, climate change and land use - including 9 years working at the United Nations on both the Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD).
Jeff Corbiere is the Renewable Energy Manager for the Mother Earth Renewable Energy project. He is the one who keeps the turbines spinning. Jeff manages the day-to-day of the research partnership at M’Chigeeng
Grant Taibossgai is the general Manager of HIAH Corporation – the community corporation responsible for installing and operating the wind turbines at M’Chigeeng. He was integral to the creation of the Mother Earth Renewable Energy project and has won renewable energy awards for his efforts. He was the first point of contact and main person involved in getting the mere.uwo research partnership running at M’Chigeeng.
Alma Jean Migwans is a M'Chigeeng Elder. She provides advice at key decision points in the project and including culturally appropriate messaging.
